Housing Coalition kicks off annual Mum Sale

Purchase locally grown plants and support a good cause

WOLFEBORO —The Eastern Lakes Region Housing Coalition’s fall 2017 Chrysanthemum Sale is under way.

This season, New Hampshire-grown mums are available in five colors – yellow, white, bronze, purple and red. Grown locally at Spider Web Gardens in Tuftonboro, the plants come in 9-inch pots and cost $10 each. For an additional $5 per household, Coalition volunteers will deliver plants to any residence or business in Wolfeboro or Tuftonboro.

Advance orders with a cash or check payment are required – download an order form from the www.elrhc.org web site or our Facebook page, pick one up at the WEDCO office at 7 Center St., Wolfeboro, downstairs from Citizens Bank, or download here: 2017 Mums Order Form. The order deadline is Tuesday, Aug. 22. The plants will be ready for pickup on Saturday, Aug. 26 from the parking lot at the First Congregational Church, 115 S. Main Street, Wolfeboro, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Preferred payment is by check, cash or money order submitted with your order, but credit or debit cards will be accepted at the pick up location on May 20. Completed order forms with payment can be mailed to ELRHC, c/o Karen Lancaster, Flower Fundraiser Chair, P.O. Box 908, Wolfeboro, NH 03894. All proceeds from the mum sales benefit the Coalition’s community education programs on affordable housing topics. The Eastern Lake Region Housing Coalition serves the towns of Alton, Brookfield, Effingham, Farmington, Freedom, Middleton, Milton, Moultonborough, New Durham, Ossipee, Sandwich, Tamworth, Tuftonboro, Wakefield and Wolfeboro.
